My Power

My own Power was shaped by my mother's decision to leave Indonesia and settle in Denmark for the sake of love. She had met my father – a Danish man – and came to a new society where individuality and freedom had a different value.

I learned early on about diversity in society and how to embrace it. Differences are not a barrier, but an opportunity to grow and learn. Seizing opportunities was an essential part of my upbringing.

Today, as a wife, mother of two boys and businesswoman, I always have many balls in the air. That means setting priorities, choosing what to take on and knowing when to say no. Power is not only about achieving good results, but also about the attitude and behaviour you bring to the journey.

I am a strong woman, but it is not always easy. There are expectations from society, and there are the expectations I place on myself. It takes enormous strength, and it matters that I can also show my vulnerability.

Real Power is about knowing yourself, your limits and your strengths. For me, it is also about finding a balance between ambition, family and the joy of living.
