My Power
I consider myself lucky to have grown up with the freedom to pursue my ambitions, whatever they were, provided I carried them out with thoughtful consideration and strived to be a good person.
My work in the pharmaceutical industry has allowed me to broaden my horizons beyond the Netherlands, and come into close contact with people in many different places such as Japan, China, Russia, the Middle East and Latin American countries. I have lived in the USA, Greece, Mexico and Denmark, and I have always tried to fully embrace the positive aspects of each country and minimize the energy I spend on the negative.
It has been, and continues to be, a joyful experience to engage with and learn from many different cultures. It is interesting to notice the differences and distinctive habits, and to see how they gradually become part of everyday life.
I firmly believe that true “Power” lies in pursuing one’s choices, learning from them, and maintaining tolerance for the reality of others.
