My Power
In my opinion, Power goes hand in hand with courage. Courage to stand firm on one's values. I believe in decency. If we are decent to each other, to ourselves, and fundamentally want each other to do well, then we can create great things together. For me, decency is not the same as falling into line or keeping quiet. For me, decency is more closely related to respect. In order for us to act properly, we must respect ourselves and the relationships we are a part of – regardless of whether they are private or professional. I believe in dialogue. If we dare to be in dialogue with each other, even when it is difficult, then I see that as the finest way to learn more about ourselves and the world around us. Being in dialogue is not only about speaking, but also about listening – both listening to what is said and what is not said, with an eye to neither reading too much into what we hear nor imposing our own messages on the conversation. My values are important to me, regardless of whether I am in a private or professional sphere. It is also my values that are my fundamental Power motivation.
