My Power

I have had a long career in senior roles in finance, including a central role in building a successful securities brokerage, in which I remain an investor. Today, I focus on helping women understand financial independence and responsibility through my work as an investor and adviser to startups, with a particular focus on female co-founders and positive impact. Experience has taught me that time is the most precious thing you have in life. Look after it and use it respectfully. Spread joy wherever you are, and remember that joy is not just a state but a way of living. Do not wait for things to happen by themselves. Believe in yourself, stay curious, seek challenges, keep developing your skills and become financially independent. If you fail, do not give up: try again and again. Look deep within yourself to find what you truly care about, define your goals and do your part to make the world a better place. We are all heading in the same direction, and at the end of the road it is your loved ones who mean everything, whether you are rich or poor. Spend time with your children. Teach them the value of things, not their price. Raise them to be happy, not rich. Be humble. Remember that alone you can go fast, but together you can go far. Look after your body and your mental well-being, spend plenty of time in nature and draw energy from a rich, fulfilling life with others. What matters most is the mark you leave. It is the difference you make to others that counts, not merely the fact that you lived. Think regeneratively in everything you do.
