My Power

Dedicated to my dear grandmothers,

Today I would like to honor you, two extraordinary women who have helped shape my life and left an indelible impression on my heart. You both witnessed loss and abandonment early in life, but you chose to embrace life with a strength and determination that continues to inspire me.

… you were abandoned by your father at an early age. Despite this painful beginning, you managed to create a loving home and a stable existence for your family later in life. Your ability to find joy and meaning in the little things has taught me to appreciate life in a deeper way. You showed me that no matter what challenges we face, it is possible to rise up and find strength in ourselves and the people we love. Your love and warmth will always be a part of me.

… you were left alone with the responsibility of your family when your husband left us all. Instead of succumbing to the pain, you chose to fight on and maintain a strong and loving family. Your indomitable will and determination have shown me what it means to be strong and independent. You taught me the value of courage and perseverance, and your ability to create meaning and joy despite adversity has been an invaluable source of inspiration to me. Two women who have both shown me that true strength comes from the heart and soul, and that it is possible to find light even in the darkest moments. Two life journeys that have left me with a deep respect and love, and I will always carry your memories with me as a source of inspiration and strength. I miss you both, but I know that your spirit lives on in me and our family. Thank you for everything you have taught me. Your love and strength will never be forgotten.
